DoubleTree by Hilton to Debut in Bratislava

DoubleTree by Hilton is set to debut in Slovakia’s capital city, Bratislava, this April. The hotel will be part of a new sport complex and tennis arena, a short drive from the historic city centre. The hotel will offer 120 comfortable guest rooms in three categories: Guest rooms, Deluxe rooms and One Bedroom Suites. Each room will feature king or twin Sweet Dreams by Doubletree Sleep Experience beds, MP3 alarm clock, LCD satellite televisions, wifi and walk-in shower or bath. The hotel will boast an indoor heated swimming pool, saunas (dry and steam) and a fitness centre.

Hilton Opens First Doubletree in Istanbul

Istanbul being one of our favourite destinations we were pleased to hear that Hilton has opened its first Doubletree property in the city where East meets West.  The 171-room hotel is located on Ordu Street, in the city’s old town and is the nearest hotel to Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar.  Facilities include, four function rooms, the largest holding up to 200 guests, as well as a 24-hour business centre, gym, and spa facilities including a whirlpool, sauna, Turkish bath and steam bath.  The hotel also offers two restaurants: The Terrace serving “a la carte international cuisine with traditional Turkish favourites”, and the casual dining Old Town, where breakfast is also served.

A property in the Moda district of the city is also set to join the Doubletree brand later this year, with reservations being taken from 1st May 2011.

Doubletree to make Debut in Romania

Doubletree

It has been announced that Doubletree by Hilton is to make its debut in Romania when the upmarket brand opens in Oradea, the capital city of Romania’s Bihor Country , close to the Hungarian border,  in September next year.  It will be the home to only the third property owned under the Hilton umbrella in Romania.

Located 1km from Oradea’s city centre, it is expected that the hotel will boast 147 guestrooms plus meetings facilities for up to 350 delegates.  Other features will include a restaurant, bar, spa and swimming pool.  The hotel will join the Hilton Sibiu, opened in July this year, and the Athenee Palace Hilton, Bucharest, Hilton’s first Romanian property which launched in 1997.

Hilton have also said they are in discussion regarding further projects in Romania and throughout Eastern Europe.
